DJI Mavic 2 Pro

DJI Mavic 2 Pro is one of the most advanced drones the company has ever released. It is the most powerful drone, thanks to its gimbal stabilized Hasselblad camera with a 1-inch CMOS sensor for stunning aerial 4K video and photos. It has an adjustable aperture between f/2.8 to f/11 which allows you to fine-tune how much light enters the camera, and also change the depth of field. The original Mavic Pro is one of the sturdiest, most well-built drones, and the Mavic 2 series is no different. DJI has also equipped the Mavic 2 series with a drastically improved environmental sensing system. Whereas the original Mavic Pro only sensed obstacles in front of it, the second generation boasts omnidirectional sense-and-avoid, thanks to 10 sensors positioned on its front, back, left, right, top, and bottom.

The other big feature is Dlog M 10-bit color recording which is a way for a camera to capture more detail by preserving greater dynamic range. 10-bit refers to the color depth of the image, and is not related to the bitrate of the video file. The large 20MP sensor gives fantastic resolution for aerial photography and videography where zooming, cropping or enlarging any captured image will not lose quality in a noticeable way. The Mavic 2 pro has narrow apertures but it has Hyper-Light feature which is a low light setting designed to enhance image quality while reducing noise. In addition, it has an ISO range of 100 to 12800 which is incredibly useful for low-light conditions.

DJI Mavic Pro 2

In general, the DJI Mavic 2 Pro just feels more polished than the first generation. There’s less wobble in the joints. The lens cover is easier to use and really locks the gimbal in place. Significantly, the remote control seems to have far greater range and throughput. The Mavic 2 ships with DJI’s new ActiveTrack 2.0, that allows the drone to follow moving subjects autonomously and with more precision than ever before. It is equipped with OcuSync 2.0: the latest version of DJI’s video transmission technology, which allows you to see what the drone sees in real time and that too, in 1080p.

It gives up to 31 minutes of flight time and offers a top speed up to 44 miles per hour. When it comes time to recharge, you can expect about 45 to 50 minutes to charge battery from empty to full which is slightly quicker than previous generations. It is finally available in Nepal for the price of Rs. 210000.
